4B Math has been exciting! We are enjoying the new book and looking forward to plowing through it.

This coming week in Math:
We will continue our investigation of decimal numbers. Specifically, we will begin learning about the first two operations of decimals: addition and subtraction. Naturally, with the mastery of these concepts, we will leap into multiplication and division of decimal numbers. To assess how well the students understand adding and subtracting decimals, a test will be given on Friday, February 15th. Students can prepare for this test by seeking out decimal numbers around them and adding/subtracting them from one another. A great place to find decimal numbers is at the grocery store :)
